I’m many things.

Hi, I’m Kasia Hamilton, a creative practitioner originally from Poland, living in East Sussex and sharing working time between the quiet of the sea and vibrancy of London.

My professional background is in interior design and for many years I have worked on projects designing mostly interactive, narrative driven experiences. Alongside my creative practice I lecture across undergraduate and pre-degree courses at the University of the Arts London. I treasure these experiences as I love connecting with people and sharing my skills with a wider community.

Living and working in Vietnam during the pandemic is where my diverse interests began to merge into more holistic lifestyle. I embraced my personal and professional experiences, expertise and passions, and created a practice that connects teaching, designing and making fibre/textiles works, plant-based cooking and yoga.

All my work is deeply rooted in personal experiences. Most profoundly, my husband’s death in 2023 precipitated questions concerning the role of a creative practice in healing and more holistic look at wellbeing. I have turned everyday’s challenges into opportunities experimenting with fibres and textiles, immersing myself in culinary world of plant-based cooking and practicing yoga, which allowed me to process, begin healing and grow.

If any of the above resonates with you, let’s connect and talk about what I can create for you.

Textiles and FiBRE artist

I work with mixed fibers and natural fabrics creating textile works. Every piece is designed and made as a celebration of the slow process and focuses on the contemporary representation of traditional craft methods. I design and make wall artwork, rugs, quilts and other soft objects using primarily wool, natural fabrics and repurposed materials. All my work is made by hands with care and attention to detail. Each piece is unique and fibres and fabrics are a mix of new and up-cycled material. I use the Oxford punch needle for my rugs, wall hangings and soft objects, and I work with natural fabrics (cotton, linen and hemp) to create quilts and other homeware objects. Each piece brings together my background in interior design, my passion for travels and the impact of how slow making by hands can have on wellbeing.

Alongside my creative practice I lecture on art & design undergraduate and pre-degree courses at the University of the Arts London.

Retreat chef

As a plant - based retreat chef, whose recipes and cooking are influenced by Ayurveda, I provide beautifully seasoned and carefully spiced food for yoga and wellness retreats, and private events.  I conjure food that’s seasonal, prioritising organic and locally sourced ingredients that are full of colour and flavour. I develop and test recipes constantly, which are often inspired by ingredients, my travels, and my curiosity for plant-based cuisines from around the world.

yoga teacher

Teaching yoga is a reflection of my personal journey and my nature, both intuitive and adaptable, offering creative, dynamic style with slower strength building postures. It allows to build strength and find balance on and off the mat. Each practice includes mindful movement led by breath, allows for a moment of meditation and offers a sense of warmth and inclusivity
