The Grid Rug

The inspiration behind the rug comes from a NASA image of the largest salt pan in the world in Bolivia. Solar de Uyuni contains the world’s second-largest deposits of lithium. The rug is an interpretation of the grid that describes this vast salt pans and the colours are a result of my experiments with different  palettes on the grid.
